Description : The Varley Art Gallery features historical and contemporary exhibitions of Canadian art and works by famed Group of Seven member Fred Varley. The gallery also offers studio courses, workshops, lectures, family activites, and operates the McKay Art Centre, the historic house where Varley lived. Varley in Unionville is the featured exhibition this year running from June 3 - September 6. Special programs and events all summer. Direction: From Toronto travel north on the Don Valley Pkwy/404 (past Hwy 401) to Hwy 7. Exit at Hwy 7 and travel 4 km east of Hwy 404 to Unionville Main St. Turn left (north) of Hwy 7 onto Main St. The gallery and historic McKay house are at the north end of the village.
Schedule : Tues. - Sat., 10 am - 5 pm; Sun., noon - 5 pm. July & August open daily.
